Our Story
Our History
Takach and Associates, Inc. is the result of the hard work and dedication of the agency owner, David Takach. In June of 1984, David was drafted by the NEW YORK METS PROFESSIONAL BASEBALL TEAM as a left handed pitcher. During his baseball career David also played professionally with the St Louis Cardinals, Pittsburgh Pirates and Chicago White Sox. In 1985 he went on to graduate from Adelphi University with a Bachelor of Science with high honors.
After working in the insurance business for a couple of years, David made the ultimate decision to take it one step further. In 1991 David started his own independent agency. He has never looked back. Takach and Associates, Inc. is now a multi-million dollar agency servicing customers with both Personal and Business needs.
In The Community
As a former scout, leader, and father of an Eagle Scout, David continues to support local troops and their scouts through mentorship and fundraising efforts. From early spring to late fall if you pass by the office on a weekend you might find a carwash, bake sale, or yard sale being run by a scout raising funds for their Eagle project. Additionally the agency supports a variety of veteran’s organizations and other charitable groups through service, donation drives of food, clothing, and toys, as well as financial contributions.
